Lviv Municipal Library
The Lviv Municipal Library is the only network of public libraries of the Lviv United Territorial Community. It includes 49 branch libraries, including the Lesya Ukrainka Central City Library and the Central Children's Library. Territorially, book collections are located in Lviv, Vinnyky, Dublyany, Bryukhovychy, village Rudno, the village of Malekhiv, the village of Veliki Hrybovichi, the village of Hryada, the village of Zarudtsi, the village of Zashkiv, the village of Podbirtsi, the village of Lysynychi, the village of Ryasne-Ruske.
The Lviv Municipal Library begins in December 2022. The network combined the Centralized Library System for adults of the city of Lviv and the Centralized Library System for children of the city of Lviv, the history of which dates back to the 70s of the 20th century.
The Lviv Municipal Library prioritizes the development of reading practices, the popularization of Ukrainian culture and history, and the development of an open civil society.
Our network of libraries provides a wide range of services, actively works with requests important to Ukrainian society. Satisfies the needs of children and adults in the field of education, culture, leisure in the format of educational courses, presentations, lectures, film screenings, master classes, exhibitions, participatory practices. The fund of the Lviv Municipal Library has about a million copies of literature of various genres, including in foreign languages.
